Fatal Crashes in Motorcar Racing
For a very long time the citizens of the American country have fallen in love with racing as a sport which began with the racing of animals such as horses and dogs and then later changed to the racing of motorcycle and cars as well. There has been a great advancement in competitive racing and this has drawn the attention of people from the world over who visit America in order to watch the highly famous motor racing sport.
One of the consequences in motor racing is getting hurt but there are usually very minimal cases of serious casualties. There are listed below a number of the most fatal accidents recorded during motor racing. One of the worst crashes in motor racing to ever be recorded was at JGTC, Fujie in the year 1998. JGTC which is now popularly known as Super GT, compiled some great sports motor cars to some great and famous racing tracks in Japan. There were Ferrari and Porsche sports cars available for the race thereby making it one of the greatly popular motor events during that period of time. There were terrible weather conditions such as thick fog and intense downpour of rain during that race. This led to a series of events that caused crashing of three cars and one of the cars also caught fire.
Another fatal accident to ever happen in the history of competitive racing of the motor vehicle sport was recorded at San Marino Grand Prix in the year 1994. During this race there was a certain driver who had taken up the first position. During the races to qualify, there had been a number of two terrible crashes. One if the drivers I the qualifying crashes slammed into a concrete wall at a high speed and ended up losing his precious life. That gave rise to enhanced safety procedures taken up in the sports of motor vehicle racing so as to prevent serious accidents that could lead to serious outcomes.
There was also recorded another serious motor vehicle accident at the 24 hours LeMans about sixty eight years back. The crash at this place was considered one of the most fatal crashes as recorded in the crashes as a result of motor vehicle racing. This crash in addition to injuring the drivers, also led to the death of a number of spectators as well. The results were the death of eighty four people and the injury of about a hundred others. Another fatal sports motor vehicle crash occurred at Daytona 500 in the year 2001. This accident led to a serious injury to the head of one of the drivers as he slammed into a wall.
